A source close to the Democrat party has said that legal documents have already been drafted in the event of an unusually close return between El Paso Democrat Beto O’Rourke and Senator Ted Cruz.
The source confirmed to Texas Take News that as customary in close races, paperwork has already been drafted for weeks, should it be needed.
Republicans in Texas have not confirmed that they have taken a similar route however, a source close to the Cruz campaign said that in the event of a loss, Cruz would not “go easily.”
It is not uncommon for parties to pre-full arguments in the event of possible challenges.
Texas Take has had a chance to review the documents from democrats which show typical challenges such as gerrymandering and questionable ballots.
Republicans say that they are prepared to contest “larger issues” including provisional ballots and voter fraud.
This is a developing story
