World War II era plane crashes in Fredericksburg killing 2

Fredericksburg–A vintage World War II era P-51D Mustang has crashed in the parking lot of an apartment complex in Fredericksburg, Texas, west of San Antonio on Saturday.

Reports are that the plane was participating in an air show when the plane went down.

Witnesses say that no announcement was made during the air show however, afterwards there were reports that the plane had crashed.

The two passengers who were aboard the plane at the time of the crash were killed. No injuries were reported on the ground.

Officials with the FAA and the NTSB are on scene investigating the crash.

Correction: Original report indicated that both of the deceased were veterans. The Pacific War Museum has now informed media that only of the deceased was a veteran. (11/17/18; 8:26pm MB)
