Dallas–The University of Texas Longhorns and Oklahoma Sooners will face off again next Saturday in what will be a rematch of the annual powerhouse rivalry game known as the Red River Shootout. This time, the two teams will be playing for more than just bragging rights, they will be playing for the Big 12 Championship.
A Red River Rematch has happened before–115 years ago, during the 1903 and 1901 seasons.
Texas had the better record back then at 3-0-1, but next Saturday’s game is sure to a much more lively tale for the two colleges and for the two states.
AT&T Stadium in Arlington will be the host venue for the matchup next week. Kick off is at 11:00 a.m.
