Texas State Legislator Files Bill To Bring Back Rivalry Football Game

While the Texas A&M Aggies are still on cloud nine following their wild win against LSU in 7 overtime periods, the Texas Longhorns are preparing for a Red River rematch. While football games are their minds, San Antonio State Representative Lyle Larson is focusing on brining the in state annual rivalry back to Texas.

Larson filed a bill on Tuesday that would bring back the rivalry game that was largely lost when Texas A&M abandoned the Big 12 Conference for what they deemed was a more competitive Southeast Conference in 2011.

It’s likely that the bill would not get much actual consideration, but it seems that Larson must at least try to spark up the chivalry again.
