Special Air Mission 41 Does Low Passes Over Texas To Honor The Man and The People Who Loved Him

Houston, Texas–Earlier In the week, a plane usually dubbed as Air Force One left Houston with the casket of former President George H.W. Bush. The plane would carry him and his family and friends to Washington, D.C. and back again.

Today, before touching down at Joint Base Ellington “Special Air Mission 41” made special low passes around Houston and College Station.

Longtime Bush 41 spokesperson Jim McGrath tweeted a photo of the event as the plane made a sweeping left turn over the Presidential Library and the campus of Texas A&M University in College Station, where he will eventually laid rest later on Thursday.

Spectators from the ground like Shawn Keene, a student at the university were able to observe the flyby and pay their respects in their own way.

Keene was able to capture this beautiful and stunning video from the ground.
